Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my appointment be?
Appointments are typically either 30, 45, or 60 minutes long.
On your first visit to the our clinic, you can expect your therapist to conduct a comprehensive assessment of your condition. This will likely include a physical evaluation as well as questions about your medical history, current symptoms, and any other relevant information. After this assessment, your therapist will discuss the most appropriate treatment plan for you and explain what to expect from the sessions.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No you don’t! We offer direct billing for some insurance plans and also accept ICBC and WorkSafe BC patients.
How do I know if physiotherapy is right for me?
The best way to determine if physiotherapy is right for you is to consult with your doctor or a qualified physiotherapist. They will be able to assess your individual needs and advise you on the most suitable treatment plan for you. They can also suggest possible exercises and lifestyle modifications that may help improve your condition.
Generally speaking, the only thing you need to worry about bringing is comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
When preparing for a physiotherapy appointment, it is important to dress in comfortable clothing that allows our team to assess and perform treatment. You should also bring any relevant medical records and any X-rays or scans that you may have had taken. It is also helpful to take note of any questions you may have ahead of time and to make sure that your insurance information is up-to-date.
